What We Do

As scientist-practitioners, our goal is to provide organizations and their people with access to the best available research evidence and practice in occupational health psychology (OHP).

OHP is a branch of psychology that focuses on enhancing the safety, health, and wellbeing of employees, and is a sub-discipline of Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. I-O Psychology is the scientific study of people and their behaviours in the workplace.

Using the scientist-practitioner model, we apply psychological theories and principles to organizations to improve the performance, satisfaction, engagement, safety, health, and wellbeing of employees throughout Canada and the United States.

How We Do it

  • Access and integrate research findings to make informed decisions for our clients
  • Question and test current methods of practice that are relevant to workplaces and employees
  • Build and maintain effective cross-disciplinary relationships with professionals in other fields, such as management, Human Resources, finance, and healthcare
  • Improve the quality and relevance of occupational health and safety research so that it better addresses organizational and employee-specific needs
